What Is Wrong with the DSTU Standard for Rubble Stone? (Continued)
As previously reported (see the News section dated 18 June 2026), the Association submitted a request to the Ukrainian Research and Training Center for Standardization, Certification and Quality (DP “UkrNDNC”), which, pursuant to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1163-r of 26 November 2014, performs the functions of the National Standardization Body, asking it to review DSTU B V.2.7-241:2010 “Building Materials. Rubble Stone. Specifications” and introduce specific amendments to the standard.
In response, the Association received a letter stating, in particular, that:
- – pursuant to Part Five of Article 15 of the Law of Ukraine “On Standardization”, interpretations of the provisions of national standards and codes of established practice are provided by the relevant technical standardization committees within their respective fields of activity and areas of responsibility;
- – DSTU B V.2.7-241:2010 falls within the scope of Technical Committee for Standardization 305 “Construction Products and Materials” (TC 305);
- – a copy of the Association’s request was forwarded to TC 305 for consideration, examination of the issues raised, and preparation of a response.
