IN THE CENTRAL EXECUTIVE BODIES

● The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, by its Order No. 1093-r dated November 08, 2024, dismissed Roman Opimakh from the position of the Head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine on November 8, 2024, due to the expiration of the term of appointment (paragraph one of part one of Article 85 of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service”), and by its Order No. 1094-r dated November 08, 2024 No. 1094-p, temporarily, from November 9, 2024, until the appointment of the Head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine in accordance with the established procedure, the Deputy Head of the said Service for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization, Serhii Stakhovych Dekhtyarenko, was entrusted with the duties of the Head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine.

● The Ukrainian Geological Survey:

1. Finalized the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Lists of Minerals of National and Local Importance”.

The draft act proposes to amend the lists of minerals of national and local importance by increasing the number of minerals for which special permits for subsoil use may be issued, setting them out in a new wording.

2. Finalized the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Methodology for Determining the Initial Sale Price at an Auction (Electronic Bidding) of a Special Permit for Subsoil Use”.

The draft act provides for amendments to paragraphs 4 and 6 of the Methodology, which, in particular

– clarify what kind of information should be provided by the State Tax Service of Ukraine and the State Commission of Ukraine for Mineral Resources for processing by the working group established by the Ukrainian Geological Survey 

– ensuring equal conditions of access to subsoil use, and making the calculation of the initial sale price of special permits for subsoil use more fair.
