Zelenskyy signed the Law of Ukraine No. 3977-IX dated 17 September 2024 \u2018On Amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine on Establishing the Peculiarities of Service in the Customs Authorities and Certification of Customs Officials\u2019 <strong>(Reg. No. 6490-d dated 06 April 2023).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This Law, in particular:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Changes the procedure for competitive selection for the position of the Head of the State Customs Service based on the best practices of the NABU, SAPO and other anti-corruption bodies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>involves international experts in the open competition for the position of the Head of the State Customs Service;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>establishes a clear algorithm for decision-making by the competition commission;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>gives the new Head of the State Customs Service the right to form the human resources of the customs authorities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>introduces an annual independent audit of the effective performance of the customs authorities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>defines the specifics of the requirements for employment;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>determines a one-time certification of customs officials to determine their suitability for the position;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ensures the integrity and lifestyle monitoring of customs officials during their service;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>determines the list of allowances and bonuses for customs officials and employees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Photo source: <em>https:\/\/www.pexels.com\/<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The President of Ukraine V.O.
