{"id":5073,"date":"2026-06-09T11:49:01","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T08:49:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/avnbmu.com.ua\/?p=5073"},"modified":"2026-06-09T11:53:21","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T08:53:21","slug":"jsc-ukrzaliznytsia-freight-tariffs-need-to-increase-by-45","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.avnbmu.com.ua\/en\/news\/jsc-ukrzaliznytsia-freight-tariffs-need-to-increase-by-45\/","title":{"rendered":"JSC Ukrzaliznytsia: Freight Tariffs Need to Increase by 45%"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Joint Stock Company Ukrzaliznytsia<\/strong> considers it necessary to increase freight transportation tariffs by at least <strong>45%<\/strong> in order to stabilize the company\u2019s financial position amid rising war-related costs and to continue negotiations on debt restructuring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <strong>Oleksandr Pertsovskyi<\/strong>, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, the company can no longer absorb the costs of other sectors of the economy at its own expense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He stated that a <strong>45% tariff increase<\/strong> would cover approximately half of the projected cash deficit, which is estimated at <strong>UAH 26 billion<\/strong> this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that tariff indexation is important not only for maintaining the company\u2019s current liquidity but also for negotiations with bondholders regarding debt restructuring and securing new financing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At present, JSC Ukrzaliznytsia has not yet reached an agreement with creditors on the restructuring of more than <strong>USD 1 billion<\/strong> in debt.
