{"id":5317,"date":"2026-07-22T12:47:41","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T09:47:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/avnbmu.com.ua\/?p=5317"},"modified":"2026-07-22T12:57:33","modified_gmt":"2026-07-22T09:57:33","slug":"jsc-ukrainian-railways-launches-a-series-of-meetings-with-freight-shippers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.avnbmu.com.ua\/en\/news\/jsc-ukrainian-railways-launches-a-series-of-meetings-with-freight-shippers\/","title":{"rendered":"JSC Ukrainian Railways Launches a Series of Meetings with Freight Shippers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On 21 July 2026, JSC Ukrainian Railways launched a series of meetings with freight shippers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meetings will take place from 21 to 31 July according to the following schedule:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>21 July 2026 (Tuesday) \u2013 European Business Association (EBA), American Chamber of Commerce (ACC);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>22 July 2026 (Wednesday) \u2013 shippers of grain, vegetable oil and oilseed meal;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>23 July 2026 (Thursday) \u2013 cement shippers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>24 July 2026 (Friday) \u2013 mining and metallurgical industry shippers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>28 July 2026 (Tuesday) \u2013 fertilizer shippers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>29 July 2026 (Wednesday) \u2013 construction materials shippers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>30 July 2026 (Thursday) \u2013 container shippers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>31 July 2026 (Friday) \u2013 petroleum products shippers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meetings will begin at 1:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Venue (offline): Office 37, 32 Ivan Fedorov Street, Kyiv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants may also join online. To receive a link for online participation or arrange an entry pass for the event, interested participants should contact in advance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>E-mail: <a href=\"mailto:grishchuk@uz.gov.ua\">grishchuk@uz.gov.ua<\/a><br>Tel.: +380 (44) 465-12-80.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Questions and proposals requiring discussion during the meetings should also be submitted in advance to the above e-mail address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the meeting held on 21 July 2026 with representatives of the European Business Association (EBA) and the American Chamber of Commerce (ACC), Valerii Tkachov, Deputy Director of the Department for Transportation Technology and Commercial Operations at JSC Ukrainian Railways, encouraged customers to conclude long-term contracts for the next year, noting that the Transport Logistics Center (TLC) branch has already exhausted its capacity to conclude additional long-term contracts for the current year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He reported that the TLC branch currently operates the following fleet:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; 13,015 open-top wagons;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8211; 3,043 petroleum tank wagons;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8211; 2,456 grain hopper wagons;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8211; 1,505 cement wagons.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For his part, Volodymyr Ivashchenko, Member of the Management Board of JSC Ukrainian Railways responsible for freight transportation, clarified that the company plans to allocate approximately 60\u201370% of its wagon fleet under long-term contracts. The remaining capacity will be offered either through auctions on the Prozorro.Sale electronic trading system or under standard commercial arrangements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, the rolling stock market is currently experiencing a shortage of wagons. Therefore, after fulfilling long-term contractual commitments, wagon capacity of the TLC branch will be allocated through electronic auctions. This will primarily concern open-top wagons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Ivashchenko also noted that the company has already begun receiving applications for long-term contracts for 2027, particularly for open-top wagons.
