This was stated on the Ukrainian news media outlet Novyny.LIVE by Dmytro Lyoushkin, CEO of the Prime Group of companies and a fuel market expert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, the UAH 115\u2013120 per litre level is an \u201coptimized forecast.\u201d At the same time, the expert estimates that petrol would cost approximately UAH 10 less than diesel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, Dmytro Lyoushkin does not rule out a more adverse market scenario. A price of up to UAH 140\u2013145 per litre could occur if Ukrainian prices were to align with current European price levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the expert explained, the key factors affecting the final prices at filling stations will be oil prices, the hryvnia exchange rate, tax levels, and the overall situation on the global market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, he considers a fuel price of UAH 145 per litre to be a less realistic scenario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, fuel prices in Ukraine remain at approximately the levels that prevailed in Europe six months ago. If fuel prices rise this winter, they could reach European levels, where peak fuel prices are currently around EUR 2.8\u20132.9 per litre, equivalent to UAH 143.91\u2013149.05 per litre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the expert, the coming winter will also be an additional challenging factor, both due to the energy situation and the ongoing confrontation with Russia, which could also affect global prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At present, there are no prerequisites for a decline or even stabilization in global oil prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the main factors that could contribute to higher prices and put additional pressure on fuel costs are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; escalation of conflicts in the Middle East ahead of the U.S. midterm elections in November this year;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8211; unlike previous periods, there are currently no significant reserves in the United States, Europe, or China, meaning that any market fluctuations are immediately reflected in European and Ukrainian prices;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8211; another phased increase in fuel excise taxes starting from 1 January 2027;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8211; the requirements of Law of Ukraine No. 3438-IX \u201cOn Minimum Stocks of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products\u201d dated 21 November 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Photo source: https:\/\/www.magnific.com\/<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In February 2027, the price of diesel fuel in Ukraine could increase significantly, reaching UAH 115\u2013120 per litre under the optimistic scenario, while under the worst-case scenario it could rise to UAH 140\u2013145 per litre.
