As previously reported (see the Bulletin of the Association dated April 30, 2024), the draft Law of Ukraine “On Amending the Law of Ukraine “On transport” (reg. No. 6514 dated January 13, 2022), submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and an alternative draft of the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Transport” regarding the formation of the National Commission that carries out state regulation in the field of transport ” (reg. No. 6514-1 dated January 31, 2022), submitted by People’s Deputies of Ukraine S.V.Shakhov, O.A.Lukashev and S.A.Velmozhnyi, which provide for the creation of a state regulator that should deal with the issue of price ( tariff) policy in the field of railway transport.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 2023, the Association appealed to the Committee with a request to speed up consideration of draft laws for the register. Nos. 6514 and 6514-1 with the provision of the relevant conclusion, but until now this issue has not moved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by Resolution No. 3561-IX of February 6, 2024 approved the Plan of Legislative Work for 2024, and by Resolution No. 3562-IX of February 6, 2024, approved the Agenda of the Eleventh Session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Ninth Convocation, which includes draft laws for the register Nos. 6514 and 6514-1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By its decision dated January 10, 2024 (Minutes No. 79), the Committee approved its Work Plan for the period of the eleventh session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation (February 2024 – July 2024), according to which consideration of draft laws for the register. Nos. 6514 and 6514-1 should have taken place in February of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, on the Committee’s official website, in the “Committee Meetings” and “News” sections, there is no information about the consideration of these draft laws in February and the following months of this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, taking into account the importance of this issue for many enterprises that deliver their products by rail transport, the Association in May of this year. appealed to the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Transport and Infrastructure with a request to inform:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
